If all else fails and you get lost and cannot find what you need, go back to the Trees Home and try again.
Things work a little differently if you are not logged in, make sure you are either logged in or logged
out as the situation demands.
GETTING STARTED
You can either type names into the search boxes or go to SURNAMES, or Advanced Search.
SURNAMES
The surname page contains a list of the most popular surnames. If your name is already showing, click
on it there.
If you do not see the name you want, click on the letter link for the first letter of the surname you
are researching.
PEOPLE
The surname page will give you a list of folks with the surname (or letter) on which you clicked.
Click the name of the person you want to view.
INDIVIDUAL PAGE
The first page you visit for an individual will show all the information currently available for that
person with tabbed links for their Ancestry, Descendants, a Relationship Calculator, a Time Line, and a Gedcom
Creator.
In the dark colored navigation bar, there is also a PDF generator.
A magnifying glass icon is a link. Hold your mouse over that icon to see what it links to.
The Tree ID is Huntington's Disease. Clicking that link will take you to the page with statistics on the
tree - number of individuals, number of families, etc.
You will see a link for a group sheet. That link rearranges the information with more emphasis on the
family rather than the indiviual.
WHAT'S NEW
What's new shows the latest 10 items that have been altered in the last 30 days. If nothing has changed,
there will be no links.
MEDIA
Media is any file other than pages. Media is broken down into
- Documnets
- Photos
- Headstones
- Histories
- Recordings
- Videos
At this time, we have mostly documents with a few photos and headstones.
MOST WANTED
Most Wanted lists the people for whom we are seeking information. People must be added to this list via
the Admin pages. If you want your person added and do not have Admin priviledges, contact me.
SUGGEST
This is an easy way for someone to send more information about a person, place, media or source. If you
have Edit priviledges, you won't see it, you'll see EDIT.
SOURCES
If you click on the ID (S14) for a source, you get a page with details about that source, including the
scanned copy of the document if it's included.
BOOKSMARKS
You have the option of bookmarking any page that you might have reason to visit frequently.
Go to that page and click "Add Bookmark".
From the Home page, click Bookmarks. On other pages, click the Find menu and then Bookmarks.
Off the Home page
There are drop down menus in the top right corner to navigate the site.
