HD Genealogy

HD Genealogy was created by the users of the HD mailing list at RootsWeb. HD is our acronym for Huntington’s Disease. HD is a genetic disease that is passed from parent to child. It has physical symptoms and psychological ones. Our group has banded together in an effort to understand the genealogical connection between the families who have Gene Positive (G+) members. Families with HD are hard to track because early families were ashamed of the condition and later families have to deal with insurance companies and employers. The theory is this: If ALL HD is passed from parent to child, we must all be related.
